Franks Portlock Ltd. is a leading asbestos consultancy company seeking a highly skilled Regional Manager to join our team. As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service delivery from our Regional office, while also driving business development regionally and within the company.
Key Responsibilities- Manage site-based and administrative duties within the office, ensuring completion within Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collaborating with regional and head office resources as needed.
- Effectively delegate and manage equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Operations Manager, detailing financial information, operational issues, and business development progress.
- Conduct routine team and management meetings to discuss project updates, goals, and challenges.
- Work closely with the Technical and Quality Managers to deliver effective SHEQ training and updates, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Manage staff, including initial disputes, holidays, and timesheets, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Compile and prepare quotations for client issues, ensuring project staff are aware of the project brief and objectives.
- Review projects as required, checking and approving project documentation prior to issue.
- Ensure technical requirements are met in the most economical manner, balancing quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews, addressing employee concerns and implementing solutions.
- Contribute to company performance improvement initiatives, working closely with Senior Management to implement change where required.
- Proven experience of 5 years in all areas of asbestos consultancy, inspection, and testing.
- Soils inspection, analysis, and remediation experience desirable.
- Previous office and contract management experience in a similar role essential.
- Experience working in a commercial capacity as a company advocate and representative at corporate events, pricing, and specifying works in all sectors.
- S301/W504 with certificate of competence (or demonstrably working towards if not) or be willing to work towards this.
- P402, P403, P404 are the minimum qualifications required in lieu of the above.
- Management (or similar training) and qualifications.
- Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills (primarily Microsoft Office applications).
- Strong inter-personal and leadership skills.
- Sound problem-solving abilities and resilience.
- Willingness to continuously improve and learn (CPD).
