Job Summary:

The Regional Manager is a key role within Safestore, responsible for driving sales and profit growth across a region of stores. This is a field-based role that requires frequent travel, and the successful candidate will be expected to lead and motivate a team of store managers to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a regional plan to drive sales and profit growth
  • Lead and motivate a team of store managers to achieve business objectives
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-calibre individuals across the region
  • Manage store compliance and ensure that all stores meet company standards
  • Work with the recruitment and L&D team to lead the recruitment of store managers
  • Conduct monthly manager meetings to review activities and set priorities
  • Monitor the development of sales skills and coaching in the region
  • Ensure stores are completing bi-weekly competitor checks
  • Work with the pricing team to optimise pricing and promotions for each store in the region

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of driving sales and profit growth in a retail or storage environment
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of the storage industry and market trends
