Department Overview

The Lead Product Solutions Architect role is integral to the Data Collections Product Group, overseeing the comprehensive architecture and service design in alignment with the organization's Data Strategy. This position plays a crucial role in our mission to evolve into a Data-driven Regulator.

We collaborate closely with frontline business units and data analysts to ensure that the data gathered is beneficial while minimizing any adverse effects on user experience.

Our team fosters a culture of curiosity, frequently experimenting with innovative techniques and methodologies to enhance our change delivery processes.

Responsibilities include developing the technical product roadmap and ensuring quality assurance and governance of architectural decisions, technical designs, and other architectural outputs to maintain alignment with enterprise platform strategies, standards, and patterns.


Key Responsibilities
• Defining product roadmaps that outline scope, prioritization, and timelines for delivery, including integration and specification of product solution designs while addressing technical debt.
• Crafting technology and service architecture solutions that align with enterprise product strategies and navigating them through the appropriate Design Authorities. Solutions will consider capacity management, IT Service Continuity Management, data governance, security, and software licensing requirements.
• Reviewing and ensuring the quality of artifacts produced by external vendors and internal teams, guaranteeing that the delivered solutions meet business and non-functional requirements while adhering to the strategic vision for the product group.
• Identifying opportunities for product innovation and formulating design proposals to advance these initiatives; driving innovation at the product level to achieve quick wins and business benefits within the product roadmap.
• Leading contributions to relevant communities of practice, offering thought leadership, coaching, and mentoring to enhance the overall business, technical, and product architect capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience as a solutions architect within financial services or governmental/regulatory organizations.
• Extensive experience in developing strategies, roadmaps, and architectural delivery plans.
• Familiarity with formal architectural methodologies and frameworks.
• Proficient in using architecture modeling tools.
• Significant experience collaborating with third-party or offshore suppliers.
• Proven experience adhering to development methodologies (e.g., Prince2, RUP, Scrum, Agile).

Essential Qualifications
• Commercially astute, with the ability to comprehend supplier proposals and advocate for cost-effective solutions.
• Relevant solution architecture expertise (e.g., Cloud, Data, Application, and Infrastructure).
• Demonstrated ability to innovate within a product stack while ensuring adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards.
• Proficient knowledge of UML.
• Comprehensive understanding of a wide range of technology trends and industry standards in delivering IT products as services and best practice application/solution/platform architectures.
• Experience managing architectural risks throughout the project lifecycle and during operational phases.
