Job Overview

The Lead Solutions Architect at IAG Ai plays a pivotal role in a designated business sector that has allocated funding. Collaborating closely with their triumvirate and various product teams, they are responsible for delivering substantial value. This value is identified through Business Epics that encapsulate value propositions, business challenges, and strategic solutions. Each Business Epic is subsequently detailed into Features in collaboration with product teams.

The Lead Solutions Architect seeks opportunities for reuse and leverages established methodologies to actualize value propositions. They also provide guidance to the Triumvirate regarding the feasibility of solutions and the potential workload, utilizing T-Shirt Sizing as a metric.

Qualifications

This role emphasizes support for the solution leads within each product team associated with the initiative. While domain knowledge related to the initiative is essential, being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a specific product or engineering skill (such as Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI models) is not mandatory. However, a solid technical background and experience in developing data-intensive solutions within secure environments, particularly in machine intelligence, are preferred.

Another critical aspect of this position is the ability to collaborate with domain experts across operational companies, fostering trusted relationships with principal architects. The Lead Solutions Architect assists the Senior Solution Lead in identifying repeatable patterns that enhance overall solution engineering practices and efficiency. Furthermore, they ensure that solution engineering patterns are recognized and validated before implementation, adhering to guidelines related to ethics, legal considerations, architectural governance, and cybersecurity.

They should possess extensive experience in architecture within a global enterprise context and be adept at articulating their solutions using established architectural principles. Input on identifying value within business epics, including T-Shirt level estimations for required work, is also a key responsibility, contributing to the initiative's Product & Delivery Lead.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coach product teams on effective engineering practices
  • Reinforce product mindset and methodologies
  • Advocate for Confluence as a unified documentation platform for engineering
  • Ensure solutions receive necessary approvals for deployment
  • Effectively escalate issues and risks to the Senior Solution Lead
