Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Landscape Architect to lead our Landscape and Urban Design Team on diverse projects.

About the Role: As a Principal Landscape Architect, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and growing the skills of the team while working on large infrastructure schemes, master planning, and public realm design.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Landscape and Urban Design Team on various projects, including large infrastructure schemes, master planning, and public realm design.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to grow the skills of the team and improve project delivery.
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects that meet client expectations.
  4. Manage project finances, client relationships, and bid preparation.
  5. Ensure efficient workload management and team performance.
  6. Deliver projects that meet technical and commercial requirements.
  7. Provide line management and mentoring to team members.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Requirements:

  1. Degree-level qualification in Landscape Architecture.
  2. Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
  3. Extensive experience in landscape design, including public realm and master planning.
  4. Sound knowledge of landscape planning, particularly leading on landscape/townscape and visual impact assessments.
  5. Desirable experience in direct involvement with linear infrastructure projects.
  6. Project management/leadership experience, including bid preparation and client relationships.
  7. Fluent spoken English with excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
  8. Right to work in the UK and full driving license.
