Job Title: Principal Landscape Architect

Job Summary:

Lead Careers is seeking a highly experienced Principal Landscape Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Landscape and Urban Design Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, rail, and energy schemes. You will also be involved in masterplanning and public realm design, as well as landscape/townscape assessment for renewable energy or flood alleviation proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, rail, and energy schemes
* Develop and implement landscape design strategies for public realm and masterplanning projects
* Conduct landscape/townscape and visual impact assessments
* Manage and develop the skills of the team, including line management and mentoring
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects
* Prepare bids, manage project finance, and maintain client relationships

Requirements:

* Degree-level qualification in Landscape Architecture
* Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
* Extensive experience in landscape design, including public realm and masterplanning
* Sound knowledge and experience of landscape planning, particularly leading on landscape/townscape and visual impact assessments
* Project management/leadership experience, including preparation of bids, management of project finance, and client relationships
* Efficiently managed your own workload and that of your allocated project and regional teams
* Proven track record of successful project delivery, both technically and commercially
* Experience in line management and/or mentoring, aligned to supporting colleague development
* Fluent spoken English with excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
* Right to work in the UK & full driving licence
