Head of Quality and Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Quality and Operations to join our team at Marshall Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering our Quality strategy across all business lines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a world-class Quality strategy, aligned with our business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  2. Lead the development and implementation of quality management systems, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality and safety regulations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and oversee quality and safety management procedures.
  4. Investigate quality incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions and continuous improvements.
  5. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  6. Manage a diverse team of engineers and specialists, setting objectives, managing performance, and ensuring staff have the necessary skills to deliver functional/operational objectives.
  7. Develop and maintain an appropriate system to identify and manage safety risks within the business and ensure the emergency response system is regularly tested.
  8. Comply with all customer inspection and product release processes.
  9. Manage budget and financial planning to ensure all Quality requirements can be met.
  10. Ensure recruitment and development of suitably qualified and experienced Quality staff to support the business.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in developing and implementing Quality strategies, management systems, and behavioural based improvement programmes.
  2. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with experience of developing internal relationships at a senior management level.
  3. Significant people management experience, with experience of leading a multi-disciplined workforce.
  4. Proven financial management skills and strong commercial acumen.
  5. Deep knowledge of the aerospace industry and relevant external environment (legislative, regulatory, best practice standards, etc.).
