Global Broking Centre in London: This role is situated within the Global Broking Centre (GBC) in London, which plays a crucial role in Aon's global broking strategy. The GBC offers colleagues across the Aon network access to specialized brokers and client managers, tailored client solutions, and significant global insurance capacity. The GBC collaborates with network colleagues to deliver market-leading solutions to Aon clients, providing a competitive edge in our placement strategies worldwide.
What your day will entail:
  • Managing client relationships and brokering, handling a global portfolio of clients produced on both wholesale and retail bases, including renewals and new business, from presenting effective go-to-market strategies to clients and prospects to handing over placement slips to our support team.
  • Leading impactful renewal strategy meetings (RSMs) and conducting London market insurer presentations that demonstrate exceptional care to achieve market outperformance for our clients.
  • Overseeing reviews of client risks, preparing underwriting presentations, and reviewing insurance documentation produced by our support team.
  • Actively contributing to the growth of the portfolio, establishing new relationships, pitching to clients, and leading successful tenders.
  • Managing market relationships and developing new ones in alignment with the Natural Resources broking strategy.
  • Collaborating closely with Natural Resources clients to ensure adherence to our global best practices.
  • Opportunities for travel, including prospecting and representing Aon at conferences.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:
  • 5+ years of experience in the London market brokering renewables, construction, power, energy, mining, or property.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in structuring complex programs.
  • Strong relationships with lead/decision-maker underwriters in renewables, energy, and property.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills to effectively lead the pursuit of target prospects.
  • Masterful relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the capacity to clearly communicate complex messages in writing.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Exceptional IT skills across Microsoft Office to assist with data collection, analysis, and presentation preparation.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking mindset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance and FCA regulations.
