Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Core Group. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and care to young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Day-to-Day Care and Support: Guide young people through activities, education, and statutory meetings, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead shifts and manage a care team, promoting a therapeutic approach and maintaining high standards of care.
- Safeguarding: Ensure the welfare and safety of young people, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Operational Excellence: Assist in maintaining compliance with legal parameters and company policies, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
- Business Development: Support the growth and development of the service, contributing to the business, clinical, and social objectives of Core Group.
- NVQ Level 3: Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent relevant residential experience.
- Proficient in written and spoken English for record-keeping and report writing.
- Experience working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviors, shift leading, and supervising care staff.
- Understanding of the problems faced by children and young people, and the effects of abuse and depression.
- Driver's License
