Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled Patient Care Support Specialist to become a vital part of our innovative Community Diagnostic Centre.

This state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to providing exceptional imaging services, including MRI and CT scans.

We are in search of a proactive individual eager to contribute to our dynamic team. Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

You will collaborate closely with a team of experienced Radiographers, assisting them in delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include facilitating patient flow through the clinical process and performing essential administrative tasks such as data management and reception duties.

As part of your role, you will also be trained in IV cannulation, ensuring you are equipped with the necessary skills to support our clinical staff effectively. Immunization against Hepatitis B is a requirement for this position.

This role involves a commitment of 40 hours per week, covering various shifts throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Support Specialist, you will:

  • Provide administrative and patient support, including assisting patients during their imaging procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to patient management in accordance with established protocols.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate proficiency in IT and administrative functions.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure excellent patient care standards.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, demonstrating flexibility and organizational skills.
  • Work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and turnaround times.
