Position Overview

We are excited to announce openings for Registered Nurses at Band 5 level within the Nursing Bank at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT). We are particularly seeking flexible professionals to join our team at Astley Court, Norfolk, who can provide care as needed, often at short notice. Job Responsibilities

The successful candidates will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess the needs of service users, develop tailored care plans, and evaluate outcomes that enhance service user empowerment. Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the Named Nurse for individuals in the service area, delivering a comprehensive approach to assessment, treatment, and management of care packages.
  • Ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Demonstrating clinical competencies relevant to the care delivery in the service area.
  • Building effective working relationships with other professionals within the service area and across the Trust.
  • Contributing to the efficient management and utilization of resources within the service area.
  • Leading the nursing team in the absence of the Charge Nurse.

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, or General)
  • Membership with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Word.
  • Experience in assessing and managing clinical risks.

Physical Requirements

  • Physically fit and capable of completing mandatory training in prevention and management of aggression.
  • Access to personal transportation is advantageous.
