Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing professional nursing care to patients in clinics, homes, and schools, as well as other community or congregate care settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients, including performing nursing assessments, administering medication, and developing and implementing care plans.
- Participate in public health emergencies and community health assessments.
- May supervise support staff.
- Requires licensure as an RN in Virginia or a compact state.
- Must obtain RN license within 90 days of hire or subject to termination.
- Requires BLS certification.
- Must adhere to all safety policies, including immunizations and driver safety policies.
- Additional study in health promotion or public health is preferred.
- Experience in a public health setting or one related to disease prevention and health promotion.
