The newly established Commercial division is tasked with delivering top-tier commercial offerings that enrich the visitor experience, whether in-person or online.
This division oversees the V&A's direct-to-consumer commercial initiatives, focusing on creating rewarding experiences and fostering lasting relationships with both current and prospective audiences, all while driving financial contributions.
The Commercial Division consists of six key departments: Membership, Academy, Retail, Front of House & Catering, Omni-channel (eCommerce, ticketing & contact center), and Publishing.
Membership at the V&A represents the most lucrative segment of our commercial portfolio and is integral to our overall commercial strategy.
Having experienced significant growth in our membership base recently, we are now poised to develop a new strategy aimed at enhancing engagement within our membership community, fostering loyalty, and achieving commercial growth that is essential for fulfilling the V&A's mission.
The new Director of Membership Engagement will be accountable for pivotal business activities central to the V&A's commercial strategy.
We seek a dynamic and strategic leader capable of crafting and executing a fresh membership strategy that delivers compelling value propositions for both existing and prospective members, drives acquisition, cultivates loyalty, and ensures sustainable commercial growth.
Leading a diverse membership team, the Director will also coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with various stakeholders to innovate and enhance the membership offerings across all platforms, ensuring a world-class experience for our members.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in developing and managing membership or subscription programs, with a profound understanding of how to create and deliver offerings that resonate with member needs.
Adept at communication and influence, with a passion for culture, you will be skilled in developing and implementing tailored retention and acquisition strategies across multiple channels.
Experience managing substantial budgets to formulate commercial strategies that meet defined objectives and drive growth is essential.
