Position Overview

We are excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a Business Support Officer within the Children's Services department. This dynamic role will be part of our innovative 'One Children's Service' initiative, which integrates both Educational and Social Care functions. The position promises a diverse range of responsibilities and valuable insights while working within a progressive and supportive team environment.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will possess a foundational understanding of the services provided and demonstrate strong administrative capabilities, including proficiency in IT, minute-taking, and general office management. Familiarity with Microsoft applications is highly desirable.

Additionally, the successful candidate will exhibit exceptional communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced and challenging setting.

Important Note

This position is subject to the requirements of the Public Services Network (PSN) and will necessitate a Basic Criminal Record Check to disclose any unspent convictions and conditional cautions.

Key Skills Required

Language Proficiency

This role requires the ability to communicate fluently and confidently in English.

Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience with various IT software, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Edge.
Qualifications
  • Minimum education of O Level/GCSE standard (or equivalent).
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in a busy office environment utilizing a range of administrative procedures.
  • Experience handling a variety of inquiries both over the phone and in person.
