The Role:
As an Assistant Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production process, ensuring that all activities are coordinated to meet the quality standards and demands of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning production schedules to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.
- Oversee the production process to ensure that all materials and resources are available in a timely manner.
- Streamline production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare and present reports on performance and progress to senior management.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and organize repairs as needed.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Manage a team of 8 staff members on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar production role within a manufacturing or engineering organization.
- Previous experience in a battery manufacturer is beneficial.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet time constraints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven approach with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in relevant software applications.
Working Conditions:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with 3 breaks totaling 1 hour.
28 days of annual leave, including bank holidays, with 3 days reserved for between Christmas and New Year.
Salary: up to £32,000, with a monthly bonus paid in arrears.
