Your Team

You will be part of the Launchpad team, dedicated to preparing our software for deployment by rigorously testing our advanced code, integrating new functionalities, and ensuring top-notch quality for our clients. Within the Launchpad, we evaluate software performance under real-world conditions by directly engaging with our vehicles. This hands-on experience informs our development of virtual scenarios in the cloud, allowing us to conduct extensive software quality testing.

As a member of the Launchpad team, you will gain a thorough understanding of the system's components and their interactions, pinpointing areas for enhancement and acting as an initial user to propel our technical capabilities forward. We are a collective of problem solvers and enthusiastic roboticists who appreciate the broader perspective and enjoy tackling challenges, committed to refining our software in both real and virtual environments to achieve our vision of Universal Autonomy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to operate, test, and troubleshoot our autonomy systems in real-world settings.
  • Develop, update, and maintain maps for vehicle testing in practical environments.
  • Analyze data to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Design and identify scenarios for software-in-the-loop simulations to enhance our testing capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse teams, articulating technical requirements and collaborating to devise solutions.
  • Spot functionality gaps and contribute to the creation of hotfixes and new features.
  • This position involves hands-on work with autonomous vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Essential Skills:
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to troubleshooting.
  • Capability to manage workloads and adapt to challenges.
  • Flexibility to work with changing priorities.
  • Some experience in software development.
  • Ability to communicate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience deploying systems in real-world environments.
  • Proficiency in C++ or Python in a professional context.
  • Familiarity with distributed version control systems (e.g., Git, Mercurial, SVN).
  • Background in fields related to autonomous vehicles, such as robotics or automotive engineering.
  • Proven experience in debugging complex systems.
  • Experience using Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • A valid UK Driver's License.
