Position Overview:
The Vice President of Strategy and Transformation will report directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. This role is pivotal in establishing the strategic vision and overseeing essential cross-functional initiatives for Global Products and Technology (GP&T) as well as Digital & Tech at GlaxoSmithKline.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • Define and articulate the GP&T strategy that aligns with the overarching Digital and Tech objectives, engaging with key stakeholders across various business units including Research & Development, Global Supply Chain, and commercial sectors.
Cross-Functional Program Oversight
  • Lead and manage all GP&T cross-functional programs, ensuring risk mitigation and successful project delivery through effective stakeholder engagement and dependency management.
Agile Methodology Implementation
  • Drive the adoption and scaling of agile practices within the GP&T organization, focusing on establishing agile release trains and enhancing DevOps practices.
Mergers and Acquisitions Management
  • Oversee the Digital and Tech mergers, acquisitions, and divestments portfolio, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with GSK's business model.
Portfolio Management Office Leadership
  • Manage a value-driven PMO, overseeing governance, planning, reporting, and performance metrics to ensure accountability and continuous improvement across all projects.
Financial and Contractual Governance
  • Establish and govern business services for approximately 1000 employees, managing significant vendor contracts and budgets.
User Experience and Design Leadership
  • Enhance user-centered design practices within GP&T, leading a team of designers to integrate design principles and user research into projects.
Chief of Staff Responsibilities
  • Act as Chief of Staff for the CTO, facilitating leadership meetings and managing special projects.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Cultural Leadership and People Development
  • Drive cultural initiatives within GP&T, promoting engagement and performance among a diverse team of approximately 80 employees.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale sourcing and product delivery across multiple regions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with external service partners.
  • Experience managing senior-level stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Ability to lead diverse global teams.
  • Experience in high-pressure, business-critical settings.
