Opportunity for a Senior Bid Manager:

We are seeking a seasoned Bid Strategy Lead to join our team at Leonardo, a leading player in aerospace innovation.

Your main responsibility will be overseeing the UK bid team and handling major bid opportunities. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Bids and Proposals to enhance our bid processes continuously.

This role requires working on-site in a collaborative environment for 3-4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the UK Bids and Proposals team to drive excellence in business development.
  • Develop and manage bid strategies in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end bid preparation process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality proposals.
  • Monitor bid budget and expenditures, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Coordinate inputs from various teams and partners, fostering strong relationships and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in contract negotiations to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent with bid management experience and a proven track record in winning business through competitive processes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in planning and organizing, with attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, with a flexible approach to work.

  • Experience in managing bids with multi-cultural inputs and a background in the defense aerospace industry.
