Position Overview
Nightingale House Hospice is in search of a dedicated and skilled Spiritual Care Coordinator to enhance our Family Support Team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities and a flexible, proactive mindset to navigate the diverse aspects of this role. Collaboration with fellow professionals is essential to promote and enrich the Spiritual Care services available to patients, their families, staff, and the broader community.
Your commitment to a holistic approach will be crucial in addressing the social, psychological, and spiritual needs of individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses, as well as during times of death and bereavement. This role requires effective teamwork with a multi-disciplinary team, providing expert guidance and training that fosters an empowering environment for delivering spiritual care within clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities
As a Spiritual Care Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional spiritual care across the organization for patients, their loved ones, staff, and volunteers in various settings.
- Collaborating with the clinical multi-disciplinary team to ensure the provision of high-quality, evidence-based holistic palliative care.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of strategies to enhance Nightingale House's spiritual support services within its palliative care framework.
- Supervising and mentoring Spiritual Care Volunteers to maintain a consistent standard of care across all hospice services.
- Ensuring that spiritual care is integrated and culturally sensitive, addressing the psychological, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients and their families in alignment with their beliefs.

Qualifications and Experience
