About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Voyage Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with complex needs, promoting their independence, and supporting them to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with complex needs, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication management, and mobility.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Support individuals to access community resources, engage in activities, and participate in social events to promote their well-being and quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that each person's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, sharing best practices, and participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • A full UK manual driving license is essential for this role.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, complex mental health needs, and challenging behaviors is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, to meet the needs of service users.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and a composed approach to challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
