Nightingale House Hospice is on the lookout for a dedicated Spiritual Care Coordinator to enhance our Family Support Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills, and will be responsible for:
Providing Comprehensive Spiritual Care: Delivering exceptional spiritual support to patients, their families, staff, and volunteers across various settings within the hospice's service area.
Collaborating with Clinical Teams: Working in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary clinical team to ensure the provision of high-quality, evidence-based holistic palliative care.
Developing Spiritual Support Services: Assisting in the creation and implementation of strategies that expand Nightingale House's spiritual care offerings within its palliative care framework, contributing to the overall growth of the team.
Supervising Volunteers: Overseeing and mentoring Spiritual Care Volunteers to maintain a consistent standard of care throughout all hospice services.
Integrating Spiritual Care: Ensuring that spiritual care is an essential and culturally sensitive component of a holistic health approach, addressing psychological, spiritual, and emotional needs while respecting the beliefs and philosophies of patients and their families.
Exhibiting Organizational Skills: Demonstrating excellent organizational capabilities and a proactive attitude, while working collaboratively with other professionals to enhance the Spiritual Care services available to patients, staff, and the broader community.
Holistic Engagement: Your commitment to working holistically with service users, combined with an understanding of the social, psychological, and spiritual challenges faced by individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illnesses, will empower you to work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, providing expert guidance and fostering collaborative efforts that enhance spiritual care within clinical settings.
Supporting Bereavement Services: Your experience will enable you to strengthen the Family Support Team's approach to bereavement support for those referred to the service, as well as providing enhanced assistance to individuals connected with hospice services who are facing impending loss.
