Nightingale House Hospice

Nightingale House Hospice is in search of a dedicated Spiritual Care Coordinator to become a vital member of the Family Support Team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills, enabling them to:

Deliver exceptional spiritual care to patients, their families, staff, and volunteers across various settings within the hospice's service area.

Collaborate with the clinical multi-disciplinary team to ensure the provision of high-quality, evidence-based holistic palliative care.

Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies aimed at enhancing the spiritual support services offered by Nightingale House within its palliative care framework, while also fostering the growth of the broader team.

Oversee and mentor Spiritual Care Volunteers to maintain a consistent standard of care throughout all hospice services.

Ensure that spiritual care is integrated as a culturally sensitive component of a holistic health approach, addressing psychological, spiritual, and emotional needs in alignment with the beliefs and philosophies of the patients and their families.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a flexible mindset, and a proactive approach to all aspects of their role, while working collaboratively with other professionals to enhance and promote the Spiritual Care services available to hospice patients, staff, and the wider community.

Your commitment to a holistic approach in working with service users, along with a deep understanding of the social, psychological, and spiritual needs of individuals and families confronting life-limiting illnesses, will empower you to work effectively with colleagues from the multi-disciplinary team. This includes providing expert guidance, training, and collaborative efforts that foster the delivery of spiritual care within clinical settings.

Your expertise and experience will be instrumental in enhancing the Family Support Team's ability to offer bereavement support to those referred to the service, as well as providing additional assistance to individuals connected with hospice services who are facing impending loss.
