Nightingale House Hospice is in search of a dedicated Spiritual Care Leader to become an integral part of our Family Support Team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities and a flexible, proactive mindset, collaborating effectively with various professionals to enhance and expand the Spiritual Care services offered to patients, staff, and the broader community.
Your commitment to a holistic approach in supporting individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses, as well as your insight into their social, psychological, and spiritual needs, will empower you to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing expert guidance and fostering an environment that encourages spiritual care within clinical settings.
Your expertise will be vital in enhancing the Family Support Team's capacity to deliver bereavement assistance to those referred to our services, as well as offering additional support to individuals connected with hospice services who are preparing for loss.
Key Responsibilities
As a Spiritual Care Leader, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional spiritual care to patients and their families, staff, and volunteers across various settings within the hospice's service area.
- Collaborating with the clinical multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of high-quality, evidence-based holistic palliative care.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the hospice's spiritual support services within its palliative care framework.
- Supervising and mentoring Spiritual Care Volunteers to maintain a consistent standard of care across all hospice services.
- Ensuring that spiritual care is integrated as a culturally sensitive component of a holistic health approach, respecting the beliefs and philosophies of patients and their families.
