Role Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Allianz Popular SL in Southampton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key broker accounts, driving business growth, and developing strategic relationships.

In this role, you will spend most of your time engaging with brokers, managing accounts, and driving business development initiatives. You will be working closely with the team to shape and develop the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management of assigned key broker accounts for Allianz UK in the South Market through excellent relationship management.
  • Plan, implement, and deliver the development of broker relationships and strategic business plans for assigned accounts, consistently monitoring and managing performance against these plans and taking relevant actions to ensure delivery of required results.
  • Act as the relationship lead (internally and externally) for assigned accounts to ensure Allianz achieves the maximum benefit from these relationships and also delivers on our client commitments.
  • Play an active role in driving innovative business development initiatives with the South region.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent relationship management, networking, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Close familiarity with the commercial insurance market and its components - essential.
  • Strong financial acumen and presentation skills.
