About the Role
NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Phlebotomist to join our team as a Senior Phlebotomy Team Lead. As a key member of our phlebotomy team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the phlebotomy service, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the phlebotomy team, ensuring that all staff are trained and competent in their roles
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the phlebotomy service
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, making recommendations for improvement as needed
- Supervise and train junior staff members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
Requirements
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
- Accredited Qualification in Venepuncture
- Basic First Aid Qualification
- Experience of supervising and training junior staff
- Experience of Phlebotomy, including Domiciliary experience
