Based in St Leonards-on-Sea, General Dynamics specializes in providing advanced avionic mission computing systems for a diverse array of military aircraft, including fast jets, helicopters, and UAVs. Our recent achievements have led to the development of next-generation Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems, tailored to meet the evolving requirements of several aircraft manufacturers. These systems integrate aircraft, sensor, and weapon systems with the essential information and control systems that aircrew need to fulfill demanding operational requirements.
Role Overview
As a Senior Commercial Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing daily commercial operations, primarily supporting the Air and Naval business unit.
This position demands a highly driven individual capable of collaborating within multi-disciplinary project teams, overseeing commercial and contract management activities, and leading the commercial components of bids and proposals.
You will deliver commercial support and governance to project teams, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations while minimizing commercial risks.
Required Qualifications
To excel in this position, you should possess relevant experience in commercial and contract management.
You will need to demonstrate proficiency in:
- Drafting contracts
- Managing contracts and customer relationships, with the ability to address and resolve complex issues
- Understanding terms and conditions as well as contractual law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
