Area Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

Cedar Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Kent and Sussex. As a key commercial interface at regional level, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to three people and working closely with internal stakeholders and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to three people, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Undertake site visits and work from different locations across the region, building strong relationships with suppliers and project workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple business units, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide commercial support and guidance to project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including financial reports and project documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience of Quantity Surveying, with a strong background in commercial management and team leadership.
  • MRICS Qualified (or CIOB) with a strong understanding of commercial principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Direct involvement in reporting to internal and external clients, with the ability to present complex commercial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Experience of working with multiple clients and stakeholders, with a strong understanding of commercial and contractual principles.

Desirable:

  • Telco experience, with a strong understanding of the industry and its commercial practices.
