Wates Construction is seeking a skilled Bid Manager to enhance our North West Construction division. This role focuses on prestigious, technically intricate projects spanning various sectors.

Role Responsibilities

As a Bid Manager, you will play a crucial role in our organization, ensuring quality outcomes, improving buildability, and promoting innovation. Your collaboration with clients and industry experts will be vital in developing designs that align with project briefs, emphasizing added value, compliance, and best practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading new bid initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring clarity in our proposals, validating cost estimates, and overseeing final submissions.
  • Crafting a comprehensive bid strategy and briefing the tender team effectively.
  • Selecting appropriate subcontractors and suppliers for critical packages and managing the distribution of tender documents and amendments.
  • Creating compelling presentations for potential clients, utilizing graphic design skills and coordinating with external designers and printers.
  • Ensuring the quality of all bid components, including written documents and presentations, maintaining clarity, conciseness, and persuasiveness.
  • Conducting hand-over meetings to brief the team on tender submissions.
