Deputy Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Team Leader in the Recovery/Post-op department at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and a safe working environment.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that individual needs are met and that care is delivered in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to deliver high-quality care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with Trust objectives.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and experience.
- Act as a role model, mentoring and teaching staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality care.
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a surgical or post-operative care setting.
- Recognised teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
