Job Summary

The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Deputy Director of Member Support and Engagement. This role will play a critical part in supporting the leadership and management of all aspects of member support services within ASCL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Member Support in managing a significant team of specialist support staff.
  • Develop and implement support strategies to grow and develop the Association's membership and improve member satisfaction and levels of retention.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to optimize member engagement opportunities.
  • Lead and communicate effectively with colleagues, drawing on previous experience and industry knowledge.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a membership-based organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of the education sector and experience of working with school and college leaders would be an advantage.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary range of £68,259 – £75,310 per annum.
  • Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses covered.
  • Opportunity to work from home, with IT and telephone equipment provided.
  • Attendance at ASCL HQ and other locations across the UK as required.
