As part of a strategic development initiative, you will engage in a blend of property acquisitions and the facilitation of development projects on land already owned by the organization.

This position is structured as a fixed-term contract and offers flexibility in terms of compensation, either through an agency day rate or a salary arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and secure new property locations while overseeing and evaluating lease agreements, as well as managing associated costs such as insurance, business rates, council tax, and rent.
* Execute the acquisition of new sites and effectively manage multiple property-related issues throughout the year, aligning with the company's financial objectives.
* Collaborate with various departments to ensure that growth targets are achieved through strategic acquisitions.
* Provide expert technical advice and support regarding property management matters.
* Engage with external stakeholders, including local authorities and regulatory bodies, as necessary.
* Develop and maintain essential regional market relationships to minimize unnecessary agency fees.
* Address and finalize all legal matters in accordance with company policies.
* Offer property-related guidance and assistance to internal teams across different departments.

Qualifications:
* A degree in a property-related field.
* Proven experience in property acquisition and development procurement.
* Proficient in IT, particularly with MS Office applications.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, particularly in managing commercial contracts.
* In-depth knowledge of the legal framework governing retail commercial properties in the UK, including legal protocols and established commercial practices.
* Self-driven with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

Compensation: This role is offered as a fixed-term contract with a competitive salary range and mileage reimbursement at 45 pence per mile.
