About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Mechanic Coach to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Vehicle Mechanic Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting the equipment used by the British Army by delivering learning, coaching, and assessing apprentices in the vehicle mechanic field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and motivate apprentices through their apprenticeship program, ensuring all components are completed in a timely manner while meeting awarding organization, ESFA, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Monitor and review apprentices' progress in line with customers' expectations.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed to the correct standard and within agreed timelines.
  • Provide portfolio building advice and guidance to apprentices based on the requirements of their program.
  • Effectively record, plan, and track individual learner progress in accordance with agreed paperwork and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Considerable experience in the vehicle mechanic field.
  • Good understanding of work-based learning programs.
  • Previous experience in the defense sector, ideally within the army arena (desired but not essential).

Qualifications

  • Relevant industry-related qualification (Vehicle Mechanic minimum of Level 3).
  • Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (desirable).
  • Award/Certificate in Education & Training (or equivalent).
  • Maths and English – GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent).
