About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Senior Mental Health Practitioner to play a vital role in supporting young people experiencing emotional distress or emerging mental health issues within Oxfordshire schools. This autonomous position requires flexibility, innovative thinking, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to students experiencing mental health challenges within school settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops to promote emotional well-being and coping skills.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and progress.
  • Advocate for the mental health needs of students within the school community.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in mental health practice (e.g., Registered Mental Health Nurse, Clinical Psychologist).
  • Experience working with young people experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
