About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Early Intervention Service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people experiencing emotional distress or emerging mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based services and specialist programs for the care group, specifically in relation to delivering the in-reach program in schools.
  • Integrate the mental health agenda and community resilience within the schools identified per worker and within the remit of the CAMHS contract.
  • Deliver training, supervision, consultation, and support in schools to which the worker is the key link.
  • Develop a robust approach to building community resilience regarding mental wellbeing and early identification of mental health concerns.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Mental Health or equivalent professional health qualification.
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have mental health difficulties.
  • Ability to organise own time and manage workload and that of junior staff/learners.
