Position: Civil Assistant Project Manager
Location: Within a 50-mile radius of Newton Abbott
Salary: £35,000 - £47,500 based on experience

Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with an engineering background to join our esteemed Civil Engineering Contractor, Interaction Construction. This role involves overseeing a diverse array of civil engineering projects for a reputable client base.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Delivery Team to ensure the commercial and technical execution of projects ranging from £10k to £1m, with potential for involvement in larger projects up to £3m.
- Report directly to the Contracts Manager, maintaining effective communication with Site Managers, Engineers, clients, and designers to guarantee timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Take charge of daily project planning and the creation and implementation of construction schedules aligned with methodologies and resource allocation.
- Manage procurement processes, including materials, plant, and subcontractor engagements, ensuring optimal value.
- Oversee the supply chain and workforce to uphold the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company procedures and Business Management System across all projects.
- Identify and manage temporary works requirements, producing and adhering to Quality documents, CPPs, RAMs, and necessary permissions.
- Administer contracts commercially, handling early warnings, valuations, applications, and project cash flow forecasts.
- Manage project closeout, including as-built drawings and documentation for health and safety files.

Progression Opportunities:
- Participate in the ICE Accredited Training Scheme (IEng/CEng) and explore further education and training pathways.
- Potential for advancement to Project Manager with a salary range of £50,000 - £60,000.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications such as HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent, with a keen eye for engineering detail and setting out experience.
- IOSH or CITB 2/5 Day SSSTS/SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
- Full Driving License required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential; experience with project management software is a plus.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills across various mediums (email, phone, face-to-face).
- A positive attitude and willingness to support team members as needed.
