We are currently looking for a Pension Administration Specialist to join our dedicated team.

Expectations:

- Review pension plan documents to ensure precise calculations for defined benefit pension plans, and utilize this expertise to enhance systems and databases.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant pension legislation across all jurisdictions.
- Prepare annual statements for plan participants.
- Execute calculations for pension adjustments, reversals, and indexation.
- Conduct peer reviews for year-end processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Provide expert guidance on pension-related provisions in the Income Tax Act.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, proposing process enhancements to management.
- Offer training and support to client teams, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Analyze legislative summaries to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Uphold Mercer Professional Standards and adhere to peer review processes.
- Prioritize and manage projects to meet deadlines.
- Mentor junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in administering defined benefit pension plans.
- Familiarity with multiple legislative jurisdictions.
Preferred Attributes:
- Basic knowledge of actuarial principles, with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, administration, or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
