  • Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant pension legislation across all jurisdictions.
  • Prepare annual statements for plan participants.
  • Execute calculations for pension adjustments, reversals, and indexation.
  • Conduct peer reviews for year-end processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide expert guidance on pension-related provisions in the Income Tax Act.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, proposing process enhancements to management.
  • Offer training and support to client teams, acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Analyze legislative summaries to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Uphold Mercer Professional Standards and adhere to peer review processes.
  • Prioritize and manage projects to meet deadlines.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in administering defined benefit pension plans.
  • Familiarity with multiple legislative jurisdictions.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Basic knowledge of actuarial principles, with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, administration, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
