About the Role

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Physician in Renal Medicine to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Renal Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist medical care to patients with renal conditions, including acute and chronic kidney disease
  • Lead clinical teams to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and guidelines to improve patient care and safety
  • Contribute to the development of our Renal Medicine services, including service redesign and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in on-call rota to provide 24/7 cover for our Renal Medicine services

Person Specification

  • MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
  • MRCP
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via one of the following: Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)
  • Basic life support
