About the Role

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician in Renal Medicine to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our renal services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist care to patients with renal conditions, including acute and chronic kidney disease
  • Lead clinical teams and contribute to the development of our renal services
  • Participate in on-call rota and provide out-of-hours advice and support
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

Person Specification

  • MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical qualification
  • MRCP or equivalent specialist registration
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)
