About the Role

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician in Renal Medicine to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical services, and contributing to the development of our renal medicine department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist medical care to patients with renal disease, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical services and policies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in research and education activities to advance the field of renal medicine and improve patient outcomes.

Person Specification

  • MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCP or equivalent specialist registration.
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).
