About the Role
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Physician in Renal Medicine to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing enhanced clinical skills, and contributing to the delivery of clinical and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialty and general medical care to patients
- Support on-call in-patient ward cover
- Develop enhanced clinical skills, especially in the assessment and management of acutely ill patients
- Have excellent team-working skills and a professional attitude to work well in a multi-professional team
- Deliver clinical and quality targets agreed with clinical teams and follow patients throughout their clinical pathways
About Us
The Trust's catchment area spans across picturesque parts of England and Wales, with main towns including Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Market Drayton, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, and Whitchurch. Our main service locations are the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury, which provide a wide range of acute hospital services.
Person Specification
- MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent medical qualification
- MRCP
- Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register via Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)
