Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Operations Specialist to join our team at Subsea 7. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Operations Manager in planning and executing operations related to our global projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of operations related to our global projects, including the development of schedules, cost comparisons, and vessel and personnel operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Pursuit team, Project Operations Manager, and Tender Lead to develop the operational strategy for tenders.
  • Coordinate and consolidate inputs from multiple disciplines, including Engineering, SCM, Fabrication, and Operations, to support the development of operational planning.
  • Identify and mitigate key operations-related risks throughout the tender process.
  • Prepare, review, and comment on technical documents, including procedures, drawings, and schedules, to support operations.
  • Participate in the definition of the required offshore spread for projects, including construction vessels, support, and transportation vessels.
  • Liaise with SCM to select 3rd party vessels and operations-related services and assets, and prepare SOWs and review technical offers.
  • Participate in installation feasibility reviews and HIRAs, and provide operational input to Engineering and Planning functions.
  • Support the Project Operations Manager in developing the baseline project schedule, ensuring 3rd party services costs and planning are tracked, and monitoring their cost base.
  • Assist Project/Field Engineers on vessel readiness and during mobilization and demobilization activities.
  • Plan and coordinate activities in yards and at quaysides to deliver assigned scope.
  • Ensure project equipment is mobilized/demobilized in an efficient and timely fashion.
  • Supervise material tracking activity through the project's material tracker, and ensure equipment inspection, readiness, delivery, tracking, and demobilization.
  • Liaise with the in-country team to ensure operations are planned and run efficiently.
  • Assist in the coordination of logistic support activities, including freight forwarding, shipping, and OPL, through the in-country logistic organization.
  • Support HSE initiatives/activities to ensure work is done safely and efficiently.
  • Provide input to the Project Operations Debrief Report and to the lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Ideal experience in offshore operations, having worked on board installation vessels.
  • Solid offshore experience as Field Engineer, Installation Engineer, or Logistics.
  • Able to demonstrate commitment to HSE and keen to promote safe practices.
  • Skilled in the coordination of multiple interfaces across functions.
  • A strong work ethic, willing to work in highly changeable environments, meeting tight deadlines while delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Committed to collaborative working in a multi-location team environment.
  • Mobility to travel to all international locations for short business trips or missions.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of French/Portuguese would be an advantage.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project recommended but not essential.
