Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Subsea Installation Specialist to become a vital member of our Installation & Project Engineering (IPE) team. This role involves overseeing the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems, riser systems, flexible flowlines, and umbilicals. You will play a key role in preparing project scopes and providing support to offshore teams during operations, ensuring seamless communication with clients, suppliers, and internal design teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive installation work packages for tenders, FEEDs, or projects.
  • Coordinate a team of engineers when necessary, acting as the technical point of contact for installation-related matters.
  • Engage with all stakeholders, including clients and suppliers, while collaborating with various internal disciplines.
  • Prepare and review essential documentation and studies related to tenders, FEEDs, and projects.
  • Manage engineering activities associated with the preparation and installation of products.
  • Plan, develop, and review specific procedures/task plans, including associated calculation notes.
  • Support vessel mobilization and installation phases to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards regarding quality, cost, and time.
  • May serve as the Technical Owner for specific subjects/products, overseeing subcontractor choices and their work.
  • Validate concepts and coordinate changes while adhering to HSEQ criteria.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of our discipline.
  • Participate in consolidating discipline expertise and propose innovative solutions to reduce costs.
Desired Qualifications:

  • Master of Engineering degree with relevant experience in the energy sector.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in offshore/subsea installation.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • Subsea Structures Installation
    • Hook-ups or Pull-ins
    • Riser Systems
    • Flexible Flowlines
    • Umbilicals / Flying Leads
  • Desirable experience in mooring installation and shore-pull operations.
  • Experience in deep and ultra-deep water construction.
  • Familiarity with tenders and project work.
  • Ability to develop operational documentation, including procedures and rigging designs.
  • High level of relevant offshore operational experience.
  • Capability to deliver work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Experience in coordinating or leading teams is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required.
