Senior Credit Risk Strategist

As a Senior Credit Risk Strategist, you will play a pivotal role within the Collections Division, concentrating on Credit Risk and Strategic Analysis. This position involves transforming data into actionable insights, which are essential for monitoring key performance metrics. You will contribute to precise forecasting of collections entrants, involuntary churn, and provisions for bad debt. By collaborating with various teams across the organization, you will facilitate performance enhancement initiatives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in specialized systems such as Alteryx, Snowflake, and Tableau to analyze and oversee the complete collections process, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing analytical tools to develop data processes and reports, uncovering significant trends through data mining techniques.
- Creating and maintaining segmentation for Collections scorecards and customer journeys.
- Formulating predictive financial and economic models to aid decision-making, including forecasting involuntary churn, bad debt provisions, and Non-Volume Opex Costs.
- Collaborating with team members to manage and report on key performance objectives, while critically evaluating existing collections processes and policies.
- Proactively assessing campaign effectiveness, customer profiles, and their impact on Collections Recovery Rates using analytical tools and database platforms.
- Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support the development of collections strategies.
- Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing change management initiatives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as a strategic business partner.
- Recognizing key themes from diverse data sources to drive informed decision-making.
- Independently supporting business processes by utilizing specialized analytical software and database skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess:
- Strong analytical capabilities, particularly in statistical data analysis, with the ability to interpret and manage large datasets.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and understanding business challenges, and devising the most appropriate solutions based on data and insights.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS and SPSS, as well as relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle DB, or NoSQL databases, along with expertise in business intelligence tools.
- Experience with Alteryx, Snowflake, and Tableau is highly desirable.
