About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our Information Technology team at SThree Management Services. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assessing the creditworthiness of potential borrowers, using balance sheet analysis, credit risk analysis, and financial ratios to minimize losses and maximize profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze a company's balance sheet to determine its financial standing and ability to repay debt.
  • Use financial data to assess the risk of lending money to a particular company or individual, including calculating the probability of default, potential loss in the event of default, and exposure at default.
  • Adhere to credit risk policies and procedures.
  • Periodically check customer credit limits and maintain knowledge bases.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of new customers using various financial metrics and credit checks.
  • Ensure the precision and correctness of customer data, including credit information.
  • Maintain and update the master data set, including customer credit data.
  • Use data analysis to identify potential credit risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all data management and credit assessment practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Generate reports on credit risk and participate in monthly calls with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in credit risk analysis or data management.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and derive insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • High level of precision to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
  • Good working knowledge of financial systems, preferably with experience of SAP.
  • Resourceful and good attention to detail, with a willingness to question and investigate.
  • Self-Starter with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working under pressure.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, including influencing across functions and levels.
  • Strong people skills, with a track record of managing change, key stakeholder engagement, effective influencing, delivering value-added initiatives, and continuous improvements.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations and individuals to achieve objectives.
  • Identifying when to escalate issues to senior management for resolution/action.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, driving process excellence.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or related field.
  • CICM (optional)
