As a Lead Credit Risk Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in our decision-making processes. Your analytical insights and data-driven recommendations will significantly influence our credit policies, strategies, and overall organisational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, refine, and enhance essential credit scorecards and decision-making performance across both consumer and business pathways.
  • Collaborate with fellow team leaders to pinpoint risks, enhance processes, and optimise our operational connections.
  • Engage with stakeholders across various business sectors to align strategies and fulfil organisational objectives.
  • Offer constructive feedback on proposals, initiatives, and services.
  • Utilise analytical tools such as Excel, SAS, Alteryx, and Python to discern trends and uncover opportunities.
  • Critically assess existing credit policies and advocate for effective modifications.
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses, delivering actionable insights to foster positive outcomes.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing and developing credit scorecards (Essential).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Macros, Pivots, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.). Knowledge of VBA is advantageous.
  • Recent experience in data analysis using SAS/SQL, Alteryx, or similar tools (within the last 6 months).
  • A degree in mathematics or finance-related field or demonstrated experience at a senior/lead analyst level.
