Position Overview:

Aston Martin, a prestigious name in the automotive industry for over a century, is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Software Integration Engineer. Role Purpose:
To oversee the delivery and implementation of all electrical commodity functions and features within complex systems, ensuring alignment with the overall vehicle electrical architecture and adherence to program timelines throughout all production phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with Electrical Architecture and Commodity Teams to integrate both new and existing features.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and support the technical execution of mitigation strategies with module owners.
  • Represent Electrical Engineering Integration in technical reviews and escalation meetings.
  • Lead and support the 'Bring To Life' initiatives for major and intricate domains, lab vehicles, and initial fleet cars through the Integration Point and Feature Implementation Process.
  • Provide first-line support for prototype builds and production line operations.
  • Manage smaller specialized projects, engaging with key stakeholders to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Foster positive and constructive relationships across all levels and with stakeholders, being attuned to their needs to enhance collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a technical automotive electrical application role.
  • Familiarity with automotive architectures and communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Flexray, and Ethernet.
  • Understanding of the product development cycle from concept to launch completion (V Cycle), particularly focusing on software deployment and integration.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics standards (UDS, ISO 14229, DOIP) and diagnostic tools.
  • Domain expertise in Powertrain, Chassis, ADAS, Body, or Infotainment systems.
  • Experience in resolving complex issues across various functional commodities.
  • Demonstrated capability in vehicle analysis utilizing Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, or similar).
  • Experience with diagnostic commissioning and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
  • Competence in understanding requirements documentation.
  • Experience in prototype builds and production line support.
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety and Cyber Security principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective escalation and reporting when necessary.
