Our Battery Team is expanding swiftly, concentrating on the integration of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) technologies within our development plans. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Senior Integration Engineer/Scrum Master to become part of our Battery Systems Advanced Concepts & Research Division. This position will play a crucial role in executing integration solutions to achieve component functional objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

As a Senior Integration Engineer/Scrum Master, your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Scrum Ceremonies: Organizing and leading all Scrum meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Supporting the Product Owner: Assisting the Product Owner in managing the product backlog, defining user stories, prioritizing backlog items, and preparing for sprint planning.
  • Removing Impediments: Identifying and addressing any obstacles that may impede the team's progress, ensuring seamless operations throughout the sprint cycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a liaison between the team and external stakeholders, effectively communicating to align integration solutions with vehicle product requirements.
  • Integration Roadmap Development: Contributing to the creation of integration and design of functional safety and structural integrity aspects of the BEV battery technology roadmaps to support JLR's electrification transition.

What You'll Need

  • Agile Project Management: A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, with a proven history of applying these practices to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness in a technical or powertrain engineering environment.
  • Certification and Training: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Agile certification (e.g., PSM1), demonstrating formal training and a strong grasp of the roles, artifacts, and ceremonies involved in Scrum.
  • Project Facilitation Skills: Demonstrated experience in facilitating project planning sessions, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Adaptability and Problem Solving: The ability to swiftly adapt to changes in project scopes and effectively manage team dynamics while negotiating stakeholder needs.
  • Desirable: A comprehensive understanding of BEV integration and ISO26262 Functional Safety standards, including insights into the global supply base and other OEM manufacturers, to inform credible and competitive strategies.
