Role Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery and implementation of all commodity functions and features across intricate systems, adhering to the full vehicle electrical architecture and project timelines throughout all production phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with Electrical Architecture and Commodity Teams to integrate new and existing features.
- Facilitate issue resolution and, when necessary, assist in the technical execution of mitigation strategies with module owners.
- Represent Electrical Engineering Integration in engineering and technical assessments and escalation discussions.
- Lead and support 'Bring To Life' initiatives for significant and complex domains, lab vehicles, and initial fleet models through the Integration Point and Feature Implementation Process.
- Provide first-line support for prototype builds and production line operations.
- Manage smaller special projects, engaging with key stakeholders to meet stringent deadlines.
- Foster positive and constructive relationships across all levels and with stakeholders, being mindful of their needs to enhance collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive background in a technical automotive electrical application role.
- Familiarity with automotive architectures and communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Flexray, and Ethernet.
- Understanding of the product development cycle from concept to launch completion (V Cycle), with an emphasis on software deployment and integration.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics standards (UDS, ISO 14229, DOIP) and diagnostic tools.
- Domain expertise in Powertrain, Chassis, ADAS, Body, or Infotainment.
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues across various functional commodities.
- Experience in vehicle analysis utilizing Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with diagnostic commissioning and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
- Capability to understand requirements documentation.
- Experience in prototype builds and production line support.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety and Cyber Security principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective escalation and reporting as necessary.
