Junior Rowing Coach Assistant

We are seeking two enthusiastic rowing coaches to support the lead coaches in the organization and training of our junior rowing squads.

Position Title: Junior Rowing Squad Assistant Coach - 2 Positions Available
Reports to: Head of Rowing
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £37,050 - Pro-rated
Work Schedule: 15 hours/week or 11 hours/week
Role Overview:
The Leisure Team is dedicated to benefiting the local community through sports and recreational activities. We take pride in our service excellence and inclusivity, offering affordable or complimentary programs that reach those in need. Our goal is to enrich lives within the community by addressing local needs and delivering programs that engage local individuals and groups, breaking down barriers to participation.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the lead coach in managing athletes within the competitive junior squad.Conduct coaching sessions for junior community groups, which serve as a vital pathway to the competitive squad.Deliver high-quality training sessions in line with the GB Rowing Team's technical framework and development guidelines.Assist in organizing and facilitating training camps.Prepare crews and equipment for competitiveness at local and national events.Collaborate with the lead coach on crew selection processes.Commit to the safeguarding of children and young individuals.Perform any additional relevant duties as assigned by the Head of Rowing.General Expectations:
Work collaboratively with your line manager to identify personal support needs and engage in ongoing professional development.Adhere to Enable's codes of conduct, including policies related to data protection, health and safety, and safeguarding.Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion for all, including colleagues and clients.Foster a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where all individuals are treated with respect and their identities and cultures are valued.Ensure compliance with data protection laws and Enable's procedures.Be knowledgeable about safeguarding principles as they pertain to children and vulnerable adults in your role, and follow established safeguarding protocols.Carry out any other reasonable duties that contribute to the team's overall function, appropriate to the role's grade.Assist with events or activities organized by Enable.This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a company that positively impacts the surrounding community.
