About the Role

The Diocese of Leeds is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to play a key role in the running of our busy Cathedral Parish. This is a new role that recognizes the evolving demands of parish life and the advantages of introducing lay involvement in the operational management of our parish structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the operational infrastructure necessary to support the running of a wide range of activities at Leeds Cathedral, Cathedral House, Wheeler Hall, Holy Rosary Church, and the newly refurbished Holy Rosary Community Room.
  • Provide day-to-day line management responsibility for a small team, utilizing excellent people management skills to ensure the team's success.
  • Focus on facilities management, improving income generation from Wheeler Hall and the Holy Rosary Community Room, as well as the day-to-day administration of the Parish, including parish finances and administration associated with the Sacramental Programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the Parish's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the good stewardship of parish resources, working within tight budgets and seeking value for money at all times.

About the Parish

The Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help is a registered charity within the Diocese of Leeds. We are primarily funded through the offertory collection (donations) from parishioners, with some specific works being grant-funded. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to be mindful of the Parish's financial situation and work towards achieving our goals.
